Forums not self-updating.

Or so it seems, at least for me. This is pissing me off because, well to describe the problem first;

Whenever I post in some topics, it doesn't jump to the top of the forum. It stays way back many pages ago. In this case, my "Every Post Must Have a Picture Thread". It's last post was a few hours ago yet it doesn't appear anywhere. It was posted in today, yet I couldn't find it in the first pages, that show the topics posted in today, if you know what I mean. Anyways, it has been like this for DAYS and I assumed it would fix itself, but it's not. The topic still exists and I can visit it, but I have to dig back many pages to find it, for some reason, many pages away from the first page.

It happened first at the beginning of March Mayhem, except THE WHOLE DAMN FORUM time froze the topics in a certain state for hours, the topics have been posted in but it wasn't showing up updated anywhere for hours. After that the board remained eternally screwed up for me the way it is now.

So I ask, is there something wrong with my head and am I going crazy, is it just on my end, or is it for everybody as well? I'm getting annoyed because the search function doesn't even seem to make an effort to search and no matter how hard I try to narrow it down and even broaden it to get results, it can't pull up the topic I want and when I broaden the results I can't see more than one page of results.

Hmm, I'm not having that problem. Have you bookmarked it and seen if that works? All my bookmarks are working fine...

Amusingly enough, your thread has been stuck at the top of my off topic forum for a few minutes now with zero posts and zero views, even though I've poked around it and know threads don't stay up that long.

I feel as though every so often it freezes and takes a few minutes to update. It was much much much worse last MM- the escapist's servers aren't so hot when dealing with the strain of the votes and brackets and scoring on top of regular forum duties (and I don't know that the recaptcha does much). Once MM is over it'll go back to normal.

What I meant is, some topics, not this one, (e.g. the one mentioned in the OP) do not get pushed to the top of the page when posted in, they remain many pages back. I bookmarked it now, but before that it wasn't getting bumped to the first page.
