Man I'm so glad I'm not the only person frustrated with the controls. This was on my must play list but... you know you can't go right from Left 4 Dead to Resident Evil 5 or you'll wind up throwing something.

I thought the demo was good, except for the perplexing control scheme. Stopping and shooting is fine with me, but some of the other controls feel just bizarre. For instance, I have never before played a game where you have to press two buttons at opposite ends of the controller to reload. It doesn't work and it's not intuitive. Same goes for Left stick + X for running. I played the PS3 version, so maybe that affected the control scheme, but Metal Gear Solid 4 had far more gameplay elements, and it condensed them into a more elegant control scheme.

This is actually going to be the first RE game that im not going to buy... and its all because of the demo.
If any of my friends get it then i will mooch it off of them but i will not spend a single penny on this game.

I was still hoping they fixed those issues before I downloaded the demo. I was wrong of course, so this is one tiny drop in the bucket you lost Capcom.

This is Resident Evil, you don't move and shoot here.
And I find that just backwards. In an age where games are talking about more and more freedom, this game seems to take a step back with a jerking lack of movement.
And I can't figure it out! What is the reason for it?
Read the title.
"Resident Evil" is in it.

Really, ten years ago, we would have never fathomed an RE game to be so populat...
