I honestly don't see what the fuck fox's problem is...
They're basically PETA, just replace "animal rights" with "conservatism". Just like PETA will take the most asinine jabs at random things that are even loosely based on animal cruelty for the sake of publicity, Fox News loves taking jabs at anything that can be explained as being liberal for the sake of publicity.

I think they do this on purpose, guys.

No one would watch Fox News without the crazy.

If The Secret World of Arrietty is the Hollywood-Liberal Agenda, then Triumph of the Will is a Texan-Conservative Manifest.

You can't do that FOX! You can't take a foreign film and assert that it's propaganda from a country that didn't make it. That would be like me taking something negative Saddam Hussein said and cussing out Bill Clinton for saying it. Oh, I'm sorry FOX you DO already do that don't you. Carry on.

Hmm... So no movie, book, music piece, game or other media is allowed to have an agenda?

Well besides forcing fox itself to shut down that also destroys all marketing as the commercials on TV definitely have an agenda: Rampant consumerism.

If that is all right I don't think we can point a finger at programs with environmental leanings... and by the way, since current generations can't get our shit together is it so bad to encourage the next ones to be more mindful about their impact on our environment? And before anyone say that global warming is a fantasy let me point you to the garbage dumps all over the world. You can't tell me those are good for the environment.

Although I can understand why Fox may be upset with The Lorax (in so much as the message about protecting the enviornment is an actual message of the original book, a message we know Fox isn't too "cough, cough" keen on), I'm still trying to figure out what exactly Fox has against The Borrowers. I haven't seen it, but if the story plays out as I think it does the idea of a family managing to raise from sub-standard to comfortable living through using the land around them seems very much like an American Dream kind of scenario, something that Fox would probably go out of their way to not criticise. Am I missing something here? I doubt that their reasoning as to why it is harmful won't be very valid, I'd just like to know what that reasoning is.

I don't think you understand logic. At least not the Fox kind. The Liberals are always wrong, therefore opposing their agenda is always right, regardless of what the agenda is. Anything that comes from Liberals is inherently without merit.

You bring up "garbage dumps", "the environment" and "global warming". You have to understand that those are code phrases. Anyone who uses them is a Liberal whose views can be dismissed without further consideration.

And that "protest via littering"? It's actually pro-America to litter. It's proof (or at least evidence) that one has rejected the evils of Liberalism.

And that's... bad? Along with any notion of "fairness" I guess? (If that montage is anything to go on.) I'd say these guys sound like cartoon villains but frankly I think FOX just doesn't even know what they stand for at this point. They just want something to be angry about.
There worst thing is that they're apparently Captain Planet villains.

Everyone is all "Ghibli is Japanese!! LOLOLOL!" while forgetting that they're owned by Disney now.
EDIT: Oops, my bad. Misread some blurb about Disney taking over only North American distribution. Mistake has been noted.

OT: Fox News says something stupid? Wake me when this is actually news. Also, maybe the fact that Arriety is actually an adaptation of "The Borrowers" (an English novel series from the 50s) should be mentioned to Fox.

Uh....that's not true.
Disney just distributes their movies internationally. Ghibli's doing very well and would probably go out of business before letting a foreign company buy them up.

Silly FOX, there's nothing wrong with pushing an agenda. Obviously you're pushing the moron agenda and we all keep letting you do it... I don't know why, but we do.

Silly Fox, thinking they deserve to be taken seriously.

Seriously, Japan is Japan, and the Lorax been a classic kids story for years. This is not news. This is stirring the pot.

But as I disagree with them, I'm obviously one of those liberal liberals trying to steal the country and and lie to our children, so what do I know?

Secret World is not from liberal Hollywood, its not even from America. If these were being distributed by Fox they wouldn't even mention these films.

Look, I can see were they're coming from with The Lorax, but Arriety? I don't know about anyone else, but I used to watch a TV series adaptation of The Borrowers and I sure the fuck didn't get a "liberal agenda" from it.

DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

People, why these assholes are still in bussiness? and dont even tell me that there is a conspiracy and crap; Everyone makes fun of this news station everyday to the point that it SHOULD be obvious that NOTHING they say its relevant. It cant be something as bile fascination like watching Uwe Boll movies or M. Night Shyamalan, where we dont watch their movies on cinemas and instead we enjoy watching them with friends after downloading them without paying them, simply because our money is better spent in QUALITY media. But in case of Fox News they can only get money if people watch TV when they are on and ,if you recall, watching THEIR crap makes them stay on bussiness. So stop it, dont watch it, dont give more strength to this dead horse that may use their influence on everyone whose IQ is below bacterias. Dont give them the chance still, you may regret it someday.
