Fox Greenlights Battlefield: Bad Company TV Show

I love the Bad Company series. Seeing it on TV would be awesome.

No matter how closely it follows the game, it at least wont be subject to spoilers or sameness. I doubt even Hardcore BC2 fans have played through the single-player campaign.

Uh, okay then. We'll see how that pans out. I hope it takes more from BC1 as it had a distinct personality while BC2 took everything that was good about the first and turned it into a mediocre Modern warfare parody.

Worse story, worse overall gameplay, worse maps, it baffles me BC2 was as popular as it was and the only reason I can think of is that many new players don't know any better. I know that sounds bad but uugh it makes me crazy.

It seems like I might be the only person who sees some potential in this. They could definitely make a good TV show with those characters. Now, obviously we need to see some footage or at least trailers before passing judgment, but for now I'm cautiously optimistic.

It's certainly the best -perhaps only- Battlefield game you could pull this off with, but man did a lot of my interest get sapped away when I got to the "evade their former commander, now an agent of a shady government faction" bit.

I don't usually follow war series (or too many series in general to be fair) but what I've seen of Band of Brothers that was a nice series.
And this could be in that same level as they are both about war?

The Battlefield: Bad Company series is about a bunch of misfit soldiers who are used as cannon fodder and get into trouble.

I honestly hope they continue the whole 'rejects of the Army' theme because its a hell of allot funnier.

This could be awesome, but either A) keep the original voice actors and have it be an animated show, or B) find people who look and sound similar to the original characters, because they are what made that game fantastic.
I'd also like to see at least parts of the original story used, the Three Kings-esk themes of gold hunting were awesome.
But, this being Fox, even if the show works out it has a lot of troubles ahead of it. Here's hoping they have little to do with it and online advertising keeps the show alive. Of course, if it sucks, it'll be shitcanned either way.
