On a serious non-poll zombieless discussion about FPS's. Did you ever wonder how foreign Countries aka. not the US or UK feel about always being the villians in 99% of FPS's. Can you imagine a kid in the middle east playing modern warfare, or some russian kid blasting his own country men down to shreds in well anything... And on the flip side what do you think would ever happen if a game was released with the sole purpose of the story to wipe out the white house assassinate the president or blow up parliment. I think especially in the united states the outrage would be un-scaleable!! Discuss.

If such a game was released (hmmm, hitman did have a mission where you infiltrated the white house, and proceeded to eliminate a key senator/politician), wait let's stop there, Fallout 3, a game, where the entire USA is devastated by a 'nucular' genocide.

But, it depends though, like the Falujah shooter to be released, doesn't have the same vibe as say, shooting fictional middle eastern/russian characters.

If they released a game where you got to infiltrate the white house and assassinate the president, I would most certainly play that.
If a WWII game was made where you play as the Germans I don't think it'd bother me too much shooting some Brits! (I'm English btw).
At the end of the day you can replace the enemies in an FPS with anything and it's still the same. Zombies/Aliens/Nazis/Space Marines, the list goes on.

How about Command and Conquer red alter where you can play on either side not an FPS but each side shows a bias slant to their own side during game play

In Soldier Of Fortune there was a level where you could kill Serbs (I got it just for that :p) But it was like 4th level or something like that, so I was already bored and didn't play it enough to have any interesting thoughts on that... btw I'm from Serbia :)
