On a serious non-poll zombieless discussion about FPS's. Did you ever wonder how foreign Countries aka. not the US or UK feel about always being the villians in 99% of FPS's. Can you imagine a kid in the middle east playing modern warfare, or some russian kid blasting his own country men down to shreds in well anything... And on the flip side what do you think would ever happen if a game was released with the sole purpose of the story to wipe out the white house assassinate the president or blow up parliment. I think especially in the united states the outrage would be un-scaleable!! Discuss.

I'm from Argentina. There are some games about the Malvinas/Falklands war (mostly indie development, but really advanced indie) and I couldn't envision myself playing as the British. I'd just crash my plane into the ocean.

Well unless they make this game: http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/War_of_1812_(video_game) I won't have this problem though I don't see why this could be a problem in most games. For example in COD4 your not facing off against average good-natured people but extremists with nukes (that set them off in a town!), and there a plenty of games with a US setting that are similar where you are against criminals (and then there are games where you are killing Americans like GTA where you ARE the criminal killing innocent people in "Rip-off of [insert USA city]").

I'm Canadian, but I would be very upset if someone made a game about killing all our polar bears or stealing our mooses, or even *shudder* melting our igloos!
