Everyone seems to think that Runescape is for fags and nerds, but I for one don't think so.

Whenever someone says how gay RS is I just say 'fuck you' and rant about why it is awesome.

I don't really play it anymore but when I was addicted it was the second best thing to sex (the reason why I don't play it anymore Ha, Ha.)

I stopped playing RS a few years ago but I was hardcore addicted to it for years. I played it sooo much. I loved that game.

Assassin's creed, for all the fun it offers (if you're bored with it you're not playing it right etc etc.)And once Dragon Age gets a few more titles, I expect it will join this list. Though, I will defend the Gamecube to the extent you're mentioning there...

In short, I may defend individual games in a series if the game really is great but as for the series themselves, fuck em. If they have weak links then as long as you attack the weak game and not the series as a whole then its fine.
The only thing I will defend against is when people say utterly retarded things like all FF are the same or the series needs to end because its up to number XIII without having any idea that the games are totally seperate from each other.

Pretty much this. Not much I can really add to that either. Just one example is the Fallout series. I love 1 & 2 but 3... I don't even really associate it with the original 2 and New Vegas looks WAY to similar to 3 to be worth it, though my opinion may change once I play it.

Probably Halo. Maybe? If they're comparing it to Captain Bland's Brown Mud Shooty Gun Adventure anyway. Although I'd definitely defend Total War games, and I mean "pre ETW" because ETW and NTW aren't considered games in my book.

OT: Golden Sun. The first two games were the greatest RPG's I have ever played (except FFX, but the gameplay isn't similar enough to draw too many relevant comparisons). I can just imagine how orgasmifying they would have been with PS3 graphics ... well actually I can't, because I imagine they would be such great games that they would be beyond my imagination.

GS is awesome, but I've never had to defend it against anyone. Probably from lack of anyone but me caring, but whatever.

I've had to once or twice against Halo-players whom I've tried to introduce to the old-school graphics of Golden Sun, but apart from that the only people I know who've played it loved it.

Fallout, such a wealth of back story creates a world which I had envisaged for years before I ever heard of the series, it's like a spawn of my mind and i love it to death

Kingdom Hearts

The amount of fanboyism that that game series gets here intrigues me. I've only seen a few videos and pictures of it. It looked to me like a rather basic hack&slash RPG featuring lots of Disney characters in funky versions of their usual outfits. What's up with it?

It is a beautiful game. While gameplay may not be as strong as say, God of War, the story, the characters and the atmosphere makes it more than a game. It makes it something to be experienced.

Calumon: Besides, Disney is cool! But they'd be cooler if they got Saban to do the Dub for Xros Wars! >.<
