Frankenstein your own customized OS

If you could mix and match features from different os' into your own customized operation system for your pc,, what features would you want?. Would you want something loaded with lots of features, or something more bare boned? Pick your choices and explain why

The Mac OS Leopard layout just because I like the layout and I am most used to it. I want the ability to use all editing software, so I would like an Intel chip that could handle Sony Vegas 9 and 3DS Max. I am not computer savvy as far as the internal workings go, but I would want the ability to play PC games on it, at full settings with zero lag from the actual computer.

Linux customisability and layout, with directX support, so I can finally play all my games on linux.

I was thinking of something slim and lean, think of a 64 bit version of windows 2000, with directX 10,11 support,fast booting technology, a low hard drive footprint, small ram footprint. Basically lean and mean and fast.

XP 64-bit with 7s kernel management + hyperthreading.
