As AVG 7.5 is now outdated, I'm on the lookout for a new free anti virus program.
Can anyone recomend a good one?

I did. I am also in the works of finding out where he lives. Sonofabeach.
What is this "other" thread you spaek of?

OT: Avast. Free, made by czecks, it also has internet monitor so you wouldn't actually need having the antivirus online all the time, as internet monitors stop trojan's viruses and such from invading your pc.

They do have a paid version, which is better, as you get a firewall amongst other extras, but if you need a free one, they still have that and it is pretty good. :)

You can get the basic AVG for free, or you can get the (much better) premium version for about £40 per year.
