Anyone know any free online games that i can sign up for, download, and play instantly?

I really don't know any good ones. Also some browser multiplayer games would be fun.

No Runescape, i know, not much discussion value, but what's wrong with helping a fellow Escapist?

The Lord of The Rings: Online.

They just made it free-to-play in Europe too. I got excited a couple months ago when I read it turned free-to-play, downloaded it and found out that was the case just in The North America, but not in Europe. Until now.

I tried DDO for a brief while, but ended up disgusted.

Hey look, there is a very obvious trap in the wall, or on the floor, but I can just go around it without much effort or need for any skills or equipment. Is there another trap I can't see which the obvious trap is supposed to distract me from? Nope, obvious trap is just obvious.

Hey look, I'm a level one whatever, but the forced tutorial already gave me gear I normally wouldn't see until roughly level five unless I was really lucky --- such as chainmail and a magical flaming sword. And everyone in town has it too, supplied by the same team of shipwreck salvagers, who are altogether too ready to just hand over bundles of prime loot for no apparent reason except the hopes you'll assist them during the pushover tutorial battles.

Hey look, utterly broken quest givers in the next town over...aw, forget it. At least LOTRO works...

Much like others, DDO, and LoTRo

Ill also suggest giving Dungeon runners a whirl.

Beyond that, I notice there was a mention of Instant, which leads me to suspect your not looking for download/install games.

Perhaps Adventurequest or any of its derivatives might suit what your looking for, if that is what your looking for.

I would recommend Shin Megami Tensei: IMAGINE, or Vindictus at the moment, but Aeria games is frequently releasing new free mmo's.

Let's be original and say; "Guild Wars" (you don't have to pay per month, so i say it counts)
