Free MMOs

Okay, so after watching Extra Credits last week I thought "Hey, Dungeon Fighter Online looks pretty neat!" Checked it out, looked great. Good sprites, armour upgrades, class system, skills, all the good RPG elements I like. And interesting classes too, like a girl with a rocket launcher, and stuff.

Key bit of info: There is no Europe availability.

So here's me hyped about wanting to play a free MMO, decent at that due to it's recommendation and outlook from what I saw. So, how about people suggest other free MMOs? A description of the game usually helps, too.

Personally? I love being able to put equipment on and look badass or the ability to fire dual flintlock pistols whilst jumping. Skill points, class customisation, all that good shizzle.

So. Recommendations?

My recommendation: Black Prophecy. You like Freespace, or Freelancer, and want more space battle sim action with a ship you can upgrade modularly and blow stuff up? Look it up. Now. It's actually rather good.

PS: What the F did I get at my captcha? It's.. some.. illegible doodle that looks vaguely japanese. And my second one is no better.. having something in a square box.

Give Gunz a go. You probably wont get flinlock pistols but it will be close enough

If you took the dungeon fighter I guess i could reccomend dragon saga, its not exactly the same, but it is a 4 player co-op instanced "fighter style" mmo. Not really steampunkish like dungeon fighter though, more of the classic feel.

Though the ranger job advancement does use turrets and rocket launchers, mini guns, whatnot as special abilities.

Its playstyle isnt classic beat em up like dungeon fighter though, its more that kind of chain hit, aerial combos/juggle bonuses type of fighter. And there's an asston of enemies on screen xD>
