I kind of like the idea, although the only scenario I can envisage can be summarised as "Fallout: New Zombies".
Which has been done by about 40 mods I imagine.
Free roaming games tend to be about the unstoppable god character (Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Just Cause etc etc etc) ploughing from one end of the world map to the other and back again.
I don't see how adding survival horror can improve that because it would have to negate the "unstoppable god" part to make any form of sense.
Part of the fun of free roaming games involves exploration and if the goal of the game is to survive amongst horrific monstrosities, where is the will to explore coming from?
Again, it would be great if someone could answer these questions and solve the "conundrum" of open world survival horror (it's definitely a game I'd check out), but I'm pessimistic at best.
