Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite L675, I bought it last month and I was running fine but now it starts freezing about 15-30 minutes of use. This is a total freeze and I have to reboot the machine, the only way it doesn't freeze is if it's in Safe mode. I've taken good care of it, it's not being used to look at porn or downloading crap.

I don't have the specs on hand per the moment, I'll get them when I come home.

Is there anything I can do to try and fix it myself? I tried doing a system restore but it freezes in the middle of the process, even when launched from Safe mode.

Might be a hardware issue. IF you've done any extended gaming or anything intensive like that, the sheer heat put off by your rig could have melted some vital components. Either way, it would probably be wise to send it in to Toshiba for repairs.

I have a fujitsu tablet and its been nothing but trouble since i got it. For a space of time i was having a similar issue where every 30 or so minutes it was freeze up. Anyways it also happened with a few minutes of just opening my laptop or restarting it.

Next time wait through it and hear the sounds it makes. If you hear the fan going crazy intermittently its probably the same type of problem as mine. In about 10-20 minutes it will go back to working. I think it has to do with overheating.

Try dusting the thing, there may be something slowing down the fan. Also get speed fan, that way you can tell if your temp is getting hot. If there is not BSD then it is most likely a hardware issue.
