Friday 13th strikes!

Had a major, inexplicable iTunes fuckup on today of all days. It decided it didn't want to sync with my iPod, so I had to restore it to factory settings. It then took a dislike to about a quarter of my music library and simply refused to upload those songs, so I had to then delete everything and re-add it to iTunes, accompanied by much swearing and violent gestures. Happily, everything now appears fine (I'm sure it won't be, but it seems to be as of now).

So what about you, Escapists? Any tales of misfortune and ill chance today?

PS: On a side note, my sister was born on Friday 13th.

Well, my grandmother was born on a Friday 13th November, back in the Twenties. She's still going now, in her mid-eighties and still fit as a fiddle, while all around her, her older friends and family members are dying steadily from all sorts like Alzheimer's (we buried my great uncle, her brother, just after last Christmas). My nan? Aside from a few heart problems when I was little, because of her smoking (she's been fine since she gave up smoking though), she's been exceptionally healthy for ages.

And she was born Friday 13th. She's had a very lucky life, all things considered. Which is ironic considering she's fairly superstitious and believes all these old wives tales.

Anyway, today for me. I'm in the city I love instead of being back home in the shithole I grew up in. I had a job interview (group interview) for a position at a new Waitrose store this morning, which appears to have gone well judging by the email they sent me straight afterwards (not to jinx it or anything). Generally Friday 13th seems to go well for me. It's the exam resits I have next Tuesday and Wednesday that worry me right now, to be honest...
