While your explanation is decent, it doesn't solve the fact that she can somehow transmit with just a human brain. Super intelligence, sure, but unless I'm completely talking out of my ass, which is possible, the human brain is incapable of directly transmitting anything.
And yet somehow she has telekinesis and mind control.
Clearly, this is the film that will finally show Hollywood that not every movie need to be rooted in cold hard logic, and things could be *gasps* made up!

How is Guardians of the Galaxt riskier than a movie about, as near as I can tell, a bunch of green duck-faced blobs wearing turtle shells? Seriously, there's not way I'm seeing the new TMNT. The turtles themselves would send me running from the theater trying not to vomit. They're one of those things that don't translate well to photorealism.

Guardians of the Galaxy, in comparison, has been gotten insane amounts of advertising, quite a lot of interest, and most importantly, it's got the Marvel logo slapped across the poster. I'm not sure how anyone could look at it all and think it's risky. Out of the norm, yeah, but with Marvel's reputation, nothing they put out is risky.
How are the Turtles risky? They've had 4 movies and at least 3 tv series.
Because it looks like it's going to be awful, and as I recall, the last movie didn't do so well.

But mostly "it looks awful" thing. Honestly, those character designs...
They aren't as bad as the character designs from transformers, and that shit already released it's 4th movie.

So, uhh, just a question to those out there that did see Hercules, How accurate is it to the myths and such?
I'm not usually the biggest stickler for this sort of thing, but according to the trailers, this movie looks about as accurate as the Disney movie. Unless I just forgot about the trial of Hercules where he battles Hades's legions of zombie warriors, (cuz Hades is always evil, amiright greek mythology fans?) It's too bad ol' Herc has to be just an action movie. I'd totally love to see The Rock Suplex an entire river to clean cow shit out of a barn.

Do you really want to know?

[spoiler/]The trailers have almost nothing to do with the movie. The real story is about how Hercules has built up the legend with stories when really he's just a normal warrior with a whole team who helps him out. There's basically no magic or mythological creatures and the plot is more about him becoming the hero he's been pretending to be.[/spoiler]

Okay... Either that's the most stupidest thing a trailer could ever do to a movie... or the smartest so far...

I won't be seeing LUCY anyway, after 'Under the skin' Scarlett has lost it for me. Terrible, terrible movie. Will be seeing Muscle man mindlessly munch on Mythical monsters. Ha, Alliteration.

The short-term projections will probably be right, but the long-term projections, if Cinema Snob's midnight screening indicates anything, will be the opposite. Hercules actually turned out pretty good for an action movie, completely re-imagining its source material. Lucy ended up being rather meh.

Hint: Pretty much most of Hercules's trailer is filled with the first two minutes of the movie. Paraphrasing Snob, it's misleading in a good way.

I actually wish more movies wouldn't reveal everything their movies have to offer, especially when in the case of a lot of movies the only worthwhile parts are what make it into the trailer.

Personally, I had a great time. It felt like how big silly action movies should be done instead of the terrible comedy of the Transformers or the overly serious, overly nostalgic feel of something like the Expendables.

Keep in mind, however, that this is coming from someone who greatly enjoys The Rock as an actor since it's still completely his movie.

But yeah, the trailer are less bait and switch and more stinky pile of poo and switch since they make it look less interesting than it is.
