Friends on the Escapist

-I have added people on the escapist, maybe 4-6? One of them doesn't post here anymore.

-I know no one on the escapist in real life, I know some people who post here, but not who they are on the escapist.

-I've added anyone who has added me, never added anyone who didn't add me first. For the most part I think they've added me because we share similar opinions on certain subjects, like similar games, etc. I like to see their posts, because they always have something both intelligent and interesting to say.


-Everyone on my friends list added me first.

I currently have 54 friends. I know two of them in real life, few I'd like to meet in real life.

I don't remember, but I've done my fair share of adding.

Why did I add them? Most of the time it humour and/or good conversation. One lead to a drinking contest... good times.

The friends I've added - or more commonly been added by - are those with whom I've had good discussion, and/or share various interests with.

Never seen any of them in real life though.

I have one friend... Quoted me on a thread, and I realised I knew them IRL. But other than that coincidence, forever alone.

Some requests I got and some I sent. Of course, the ones I sent it to, I tend to chat with them daily. Whenever possible anyway. Would love to meet quite a few in real life.

I have about 70 friends here. None of them I know IRL. I chat to them whenever possible. Would love to meet them for reals someday.

I don't have any friends on The Escapist. All my friends are off it. I just come here to view content and post random replies in forums to eat up time when I should be working!

That's basically what I was going to say, except I would change working to studying...

Aye, I'd say I have about 150. (I've been here a long time...)

The friends you have added, are they people you know in real life or someone you just met here?
I think I know 2 in real life... Other than that, they're people I've met on here.

What made you add some of these on people, a good conversation, they're good looking avatar, they're from the same country as you, similar interests?
Cool posts, they seem nice, similar interests, because of a cool avatar sometimes. Had a good conversation with a few and became friends through that.

Been added most. I'm trying to make a few more friends though.

Well I used to add people frequently because I agreed with them, or wanted to know more about their opinions. I'm barely on here anymore though, and my friends list depresses me when I look at how many of the old regulars are gone...

1) I have a bunch of people on my friends list.
2) I only know one of them IRL. The others are all just random people who decided they wanted to add me/I decided to add them. Sometimes we talked first, but for some of the people, I don't think I've ever said a single word to them.
3) I rarely do the adding first; most of the time, they'll add me.

Not many. Don't really mind or care though.

There's one in particular. I knew her on the internet and recently met her IRL so I guess we're IRL friends now. Everyone else on my friends list is just someone who added me on here. I don't really know them at all.

The person I was referring to above already knew me in the first place.

Only got one friend. He added me, and I chose no, but he's still on my profile.
Not very intrested in making friends on this site. It's a bit too big for that in my opinion. Makes it hard to separate the crowd.
