This is a really good article, very informative on how the series got to where it is today. I personally preferred Saints Row 2 more than the other games because it wasn't afraid to make you question what you were doing while still being over the top and funny. I just gotta accept though that the darker moments aren't coming back and the rest of the series will mostly be some "nicer" material.
