It is a sequel though, or more likely a prequel, that's confirmed. It's been called "Trico" before as in "Third ICO", and the way the games are told seem to be going backwards ("Shadow of the Collosus" being a prequel to "ICO" and "The Last Gaurdian" being before SotC) and a compilation similar to God of War would make sense to get people caught up and get much more people to experience the games.squid5580 said:The team is making another game but it isn't clear whether or not it will be a sequel. I just don't understand why Sony isn't following in MS's footsteps and putting these games on PSN. Paying 10 -20 bucks for them is alot easier to swallow than forking out full retail price for a disc that contains 2 games you should be able to find relatively cheap (if you get lucky in the used game bin).asiepshtain said:They are making a third -squid5580 said:I dunno. It seems that you need GOW 1 & 2 on the PS3 since GOW is a true trilogy. You really can't just jump in to 2 without playing 1 and get the full experience. This just seems like someone trying to make a quick buck unless they plan a third.

Umm just going by the link you have provided Trico could mean something else. This is the third game by the Ico Team and they are calling it Project Trico refering to the fact that this is thier third game. Nowhere official is it being called a sequel or a prequel.Jumplion said:It is a sequel though, or more likely a prequel, that's confirmed. And you underestimate the rarity of finding either ICO or SotC in the used game bin. (moreover, why the hell would they be in the used game bin anyway? I will hunt those cretins down if I have to!)
Tetris hah!!!harhol said:Well it probably won't be full price, and the two games combined could easily make up a 10GB download, which would take days for some people to download. Also I imagine they'll want to package it nicely and try to make it something of a collector's item, like Ico and SotC originally were in PAL regions.squid5580 said:I just don't understand why Sony isn't following in MS's footsteps and putting these games on PSN. Find me a four-year-old console game which doesn't.Shinoki said:I just tried playing SotC the other week for a friend who had never seen it, and it really showed it's age running upscaled.
Remember folks, a Used Game Bin doesn't always mean a Good Game Bin. While you'll find gems in there, yes, most people don't get rid of good games.squid5580 said:The team is making another game but it isn't clear whether or not it will be a sequel.
