Hello Escapists!

So recently I've had the urge to do some fund raising for a number of causes that I feel rather passionate about, however I've learnt that one of them is in worse financial strights that I realised so I really want to kick my fund raising into high gear.
Only problem... I'm a bit short on new/interesting ideas.
So, dear Escapists... any ideas?
Thanks!

A bit about me:
I'm not very athletic.
I don't mind doing things that are silly.
I won't go as far as perminate bodily alteration/disfigurement.
I can knit and like crafty stuff and am a reasonably able public speaker.
I also can and know people who do cook/bake.

My ideas so far:
A cheese, wine and talk night.
A sponsored 'do something for a week'
A sponsored 'do something within 24 hours'.

Cheers and Don't Forget To Be Awesome

First of all, well done for doing something good :) it's always nice to see people raising money for charity.

Here are some more ideas to add to your list, sorry if they are not any good.

Sponsored skydive or bungee jump
Wear a crazy outfit for a week
Organise a bake sale
Organise a talent show
Even if you are not athletic you could still do something like a 100m 3-legged race, or "backwards running" race - we used to have a lot of silly races on sports day in school. Or hold your own "silly" olympics. I guess it depends how much time and resources you have.

Uhh that's all I got for now!

Those are some great ideas! Thanks! I especially like the idea of wearing a silly outfit for a week. :)
