This kind of an offshoot of another beer thread: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.377524-Beer-and-the-struggles-we-face
I keep seeing all these beers with interesting or funny names, so my question here is twofold:
1) Have you ever bought a beer or drink purely on the basis of the name?
2) What's the strangest/funniest/most interesting named beer or other drink you've encountered?
For me, a beer I had to try once I saw it was called "Fiddlers Elbow" from Wychwood breweries. As someone who plays violin, I was pretty much required to try it the instant I saw it.
The strangest name I've seen was just called "666 pale ale" but it was pretty terrible.
