Exposing the go woke go broke grift. Birdman exposes the lie of go woke, go broke. Being diverse for appealing to those of a different demographic does not lead to financial failure these people like to push. Nike and Apple have proven this time and again. They saw an increase in profit that is still ongoing. Movies in all forms. Immediate entertainment are included. Barbie, Zootopia, GotG3, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Spider-Verse, Get Out, etc. Netflix with all of its diversity and inclusion options. Plenty of movies, tv shows, and animated shows are still on the streaming platform and are doing great. They've all proven this narrative false. What people like critical drink or do is deflect or constantly move the gold hosts whenever these media or property succeed, and only cherry pick bad examples and either missed the point or intentionally lie about why those specific media failed. Or they'll hide behind old movie examples like Aliens or T2, and contradict themselves to make it seem like they're not bigoted or full of hate for people being not straight white men. from them Birdman Does talk about the Assassin's Creed Shadows situation, and how despite all the vocal minority online, it's still one of the highest pre ordered games right now. Bird man does not come to the fence of pre. Orders, it feels the systems outdated but it proves how fake in full of shit go woke go broke truly is.

Someone who is clearly having a mental breakdown over idiots like the Hawk Tuah girl getting likely millions for doing nothing but everyone wants to call this 50-year-old man who if he is correct has wasted his life being nice an edgelord. No he is a victim of gaslighting by society who wants YOU to be nice, but not themselves.

I already come to this person's conclusion years ago. No one cares how nice you are, in the end, money and power are king. That's why I never tip (when I can get away with it/not at sit-down restaurants or hair stylists), always use credit cards for cash back since some vendors hate that due to fees, and never donate (even for the category 4 hurricane victims like the recent storm that will be coming to Florida who keeps voting for the GOP) unless it benefits me in a way I like.

The only reason I even care about this election is the self-preservation of the few privileges I have left. I want to live with the privileges of being a superpower, and I find it interesting, it's as simple as that why I am voting against Trump. There have been people who have been in car crashes by voting, and no one cares.

Yes, I am raging like this person because a drug company came out with a new drug that will cost 22.5 thousand dollars a year, and I can't afford it, and most people of my illness can't unless they have Medicaid.

The drug in question:

So? You want to do your bit to make things even worse?
No, that would imply I care and want revenge, and that's too caring for this rigged society. I don't volunteer, I should phone bank for Harris, but I don't; I should canvass for her and I could get a few votes for Sherrod Brown as I have experience for doing so, and I have lots of free time, but now I don't (in the past I did).

I want to get strong, I want to be as ruthless as Jeff Bezos, as strategic as Helmuth von Moltke the Elder and Antony Blinken (also as cruel as him), as uncaring as a billionaire, as skilled as an SWE engineer, and as practical as a logistics analyst. They are strong, I am not. And I am nowhere near there.

I also could have donated to Gaza, but I didn't. I even voted for a Republican in Mike Dewine knowing how anti-abortion he is just because I wanted the intel factory in Ohio over women's rights because it doesn't affect me.

And no capitalism is not the source of this, people(neurodivergent people) like me wouldn't get into power, it would be a bunch of academic technocrats who wouldn't know where to spend on R&D which I need for long-term life extension outlive my peers and win the scoreboard.

You want to act in exactly the same way that has resulted in the situation that you find so intolerable.

So, you think it's fine to act this way. And if you're being consistent, then it follows that you can't very well complain about other people acting in the same manner, or the situation it has brought about.

This is all myopic hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy can sometimes be in your self-interest. The US complains about dictatorships, but then installs one in Egypt, and Pakistan. Because they are more favorable to US interests.

Forgive me if this is a bit of a personal question, but: do you have any friends? Feel free to ignore this question if I am asking about something that is not any of my business or you'd rather not discuss.

Yes, but some will tell me money doesn't matter, but it does, and while I have enough, I get speedballed into my face about people making more via LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Uhrm, yes, of course it can, just like most forms of dishonesty. But then we'll know you don't really have a problem with the situation you're complaining about; you just want to be the one on top of the pile.

It depends on what you mean. If you're on top of the pile, you're a target. I want to be upper, upper... middle class, and nothing else. I know people will eventually go after the billionaires, but they may not be able to go house to house given American firearms prevalence so is it worth sending a fire team or even a drone to every relatively low-income multi-millionaire? No, it wouldn't be.

Edit: My apologies if I seem a little heartless. My mom would have died from Super Typhoon Yagi alongside her/my extended family in China if it hadn't hit Hainian and instead went to Guangzhou since she was visiting there for my grandmother, who could face wet blub death, so that is making me paranoid. I will make around $100,000 next year or the year after that due to a hybrid job offer and remote gig work. And my family went from the top 80% of income earners to the top 90%. But it feels so empty. I have friends, we play top golf, and I text them a lot, and sometimes we meet, but it feels empty. I have a $500K house, but it's just a box in the suburbs. Of course, I have a computer with a 3080 Ti and even a 4K TV for Gacha games.

Edit 2: The levy for my school district failed after the principal of my school who became superintendent assumed I was naive and was too naive not to do multiple funding measures in a single levy, and now my property taxes won't go up, so I got my revenge. Kamala will likely win this election, and Israel was following my younger, more angry person's advice to counter insurgencies by going to World War II total war on its enemies. Hezbollah got destroyed, Iran will either get its nuclear capabilities destroyed or will face a revolt by liberal women and young men unless Israel bombs them. Russian vehicles are being killed left, and right in Ukraine, and China is losing the arms race against the US.

Biden signed the Green New Deal lite and an infrastructure bill like Eisenhower. My medication minus KarXT or Cobenfy and dopamine management is managed. Yet I am not happy. I should be happy, but something is off.

Serious hat on for a second: Perhaps these things feel empty because you're so narrowly focused on the material side of things.

In a lot of your posts, you seem to be quite dismissive of compassion, empathy, and (frankly) the personal human experience (beyond levels of wealth or hyper-competitive geopolitics). It's intensely materialistic. That sort of approach has left a great many people feeling unfulfilled for thousands of years.

Sorry, I ain't a shrink, but sometimes a post needs a more genuine response.

KarXT and Cobenfy are the same thing.

I'd wait a good long while on those, because some of the nastiest side effects of antipsychotics are from long-term administration, often years, (although I'm sure you're aware if you're on them), and I seriously doubt the trials have much data on that.

I would also note that a common symptom of depression or negative symptom of schizohrenia is anhedonia - an impaired ability to experience reward / pleasure.

The other thing is that lots of people don't know what will give them satisfaction in life: they take on an external message of what they should consider success to be (from society, parents, peers, etc.) rather than looking inside for their own measure: so they follow a load of objectives (e.g. often big pay, power, promotions) that will never truly deliver happiness. They would probably do best with a therapist.

Look, the thing I want is either to join the military to travel the world, or just explore a new frontier (space). And there are new medications that can deal with negative symptoms, which I am finding are undergoing trials.

My therapist talked to me, but I can get that from friends, and co-workers or even my gig job testing LLMs, or ChatGPT which I am not testing.

The only way you'll be exploring space in your lifetime is by playing No Man's Sky or maybe Starfield. And that goes for all of us here, I'm not trying to be personal.
