Now cash is tight, and comedy makes everyone feel better, so lets have a feelgood thread of things that make you laugh. I'd personally prefer creatively written comedy rather than just Youtube clips of 'monkey falls over lolz', but to each their own, and comedy is subjective after all. Doesn't have to be video either, I've got a couple of podcasts I'll suggest, if it's funny, it's in. I'd love to discover some new comedy talent however.

Here's a few of my own suggestions, stuff that's probably ancient, but maybe got missed first time around.

Firstly, there was a sketch competition over on JibJab, and from it came possibly the greatest parody of the greatest movie ever, Famous Last Nerd's "Shawshank in a minute" (yes, I know it's longer than a minute.)

I just hope they got some more work out of that, to me there's some real talent there.

Also these guys deserve something, tho I've not followed them up with any research.

As for podcasts, I really like the Bugle, for the mix of topical political humour and wang jokes, and it's got John Oliver from the Daily Show as co host, along with Andy Zaltzman. Each week they cover the worldwide news, until they get distracted, as in one show, where a story about a teenage boy who drew a 60 foot long cock on his parent's roof pretty much overwhelmed the whole show. Immature, puerile, but they pulled it off. (insert entendre here)

The perfect Ten with Phil Jupitus and Phil Wilding is good too, them just riffing on a random set of questions sent in by listeners.

Descending further down the slippery pole of respectability, I'd have to put in a vote for B3ta, tho it's more a hub that attracts the stupid funny stuff of the net, being linked with both Weebl and Rathergood, who did all those kitten animated music videos a few years back.

Last of all, I normally find pranks to be kinda stupid, and generally mean, but this one just genuinely amused me, and I think is fairly repeatable, because doesn't want to score more points than their friends? I sense adding some patter about 'spatial awareness' could sell the idea to more geeky types.

I'm sure I'll add more stuff as it comes to me, but didn't want to fill the first page with one post!

You never can tell, sometimes these threads go on for dozens of pages...

Other times like now, they die on their arse.

(yeah, it's a shameless bump, but I'm hoping for suggestions of more funny stuff I don't know about, the net is a big place!)
