I need some opinion on this little Youtube video my little sister showed me a few minutes ago.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCdmiZyyGjQ

It's kind of undeniable that, stereotypically, black girl's can have some out-there names. How out-there can they get?

I need some other people's opinions on this. I guess I'll have this as a poll.

I found it kinda' hilarious. And not even the ironic ending, either. Just the whole thing.

You?

(Edit: wait, accidentally entered it without the poll)

(Edit: Screw the poll, it's not working for me for some reason, leave it be)

We're all getting a kick out of this at my house; each of us is white, naturally.

Not funny or offensive. Just a one joke video that goes on too long.

Funny!

In the book Freakonomics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freakonomics) there was a part where they proved that stereotypically black names (De'shawn, Latoya etc.) actually put you at a disadvantage in life. They sent out two identical CV's with the most popular white and black names to various companies to see how they'd respond. The black one got asked for an interview 20% of the time and the white one got asked for an interview about 75% of the time.*

It did of course have a nice section about some ridiculous names, like the Dad who named his 6th and 7th* kids Winner and Loser. Winner became a drug addict or something and Loser became a highly respected police chief.

As for the video, I think it's reasonably funny but would be funnier if they only had about 25. Overkill is the worst enemy of a good joke.

*Can't remember exact numbers, you get the jist.

The very end made me giggle a little bit, but up until that it was pretty stupid.

It's not particularly offensive, but I watched the whole thing and didn't smile once. It's not funny, it's just pointing out a stereotype, and if that was funny, there would be a whole lot more comedians out there.

Much of the names were meant as a joke.

Either way, I don't see reason to be "offended" by this video.
I found it funny.
