FunSpot New Hampshire

So, my plan is to head up to New Hampshire/Maine in late Apri or early May next year for some camping/kayaking. Since I'm going to be in the area, and I've heard that it's the mecca of classic gaming, I just wanted to ask for anyone's input about the location. Is it worth making a side trip for? Any suggestions, tips, or other local attractions about heading up there would be appreciated.
