I decree that this is indeed furry

Funny that it ''gives the fan service nudity an unwholesome tone''
I wish I could send you "like"s for that one. Hilarious.

Reading all these, I'm starting to think Furry isn't a yes/no question. Perhaps all of us just have various tolerance levels for furriness, ranging from terrified of cat ears to Old Horny MacDonald. On this thread, "Furry" just seems to mean "Too furry for me".

In the broad definition it is. If you wanted to be exact it goes in some off branch non-otakus don't actually know the word for.

Yeah the 3 you linked look very fan-servicey. Sex sells, even the pixely kind.

I could understand giving something a negative mark in a review for fanservice.
That seems like a legitimate criticism. I don't feel that way, I love me some fanservice

But to point out specifically that it's "furry fanservice" that you have a problem with makes you sound a little less credible. Wouldn't it be in effect the same as saying "All this gay fanservice is unwholesome"

But believe it or not there are people out there who prefer their hotties fleshy and without tails (Weirdos)
They might appreciate knowing that one of the characters has woflie parts and isn't always dressed.... So it's really neither here nor there. Reviews are all inherently subjective. The worst thing a review can do is not mention something, even if the reviewer thinks it's not worth mentioning because that little detail might be the make or break feature for some buyer.

It's furry like beer is to 151 rum. Yeah, they're both technically alcoholic drinks, but one is on an entirely different scale than the other.

This did make me think of another thing though. What about certain characteristics like horns and spade ended tails, you know, typical demon looks. Would those also be considered an aspect of furry? Is it inhuman characteristics that make it so or is it specific animal characteristics?

I'm not a furry at all and I say if you like an "anthro" creature, it doesn't make you a furry... I mean, in the Elder Scrolls there are Khajiits and does playing as one + liking it make you a furry? No.

To me, in order to be a furry is you gotta like the IDEA of furry animals in general (Anthro or Feral).

Same thing with Scalies. I like Argonians, Snakes, and Dragons honestly but I don't consider myself a Scalie cause I don't like scalies in general... Just those specific creatures I mentioned.

So basically... I most likely with disagree with the people OP mentioned. Though I don't know the full story or any of the games and their stuff so can't say too much into that specific thing... Really, for a game to be "fan servicing" to the furry/scalie fandom, it has to be purely/dominantly a furry/scalie related game of some sort...

I don't think anyone was in doubt of the fanservice.

It was the furry "fanservice" that was in question.

To me it is not even a factor of art. If you have an animal and can relate to it qualities and thus find it the most awesome of all animals and relate to it you are likely a furry to me. For me it is the most annoyingly common of animals Fox. If you are a fox you 1) are Beta meaning you find the "you lead or follow" idea as bullshit cuz you a god damn rouge you just kind of do what you want. 2) Are happy and energetic. Something I have and share with real foxes, seriously if you see a fox toss it some food, a ball fuck toss it a ball of dirt and will be enthralled 3) Most importantly you have to be generally nice a trait both many furs and real Foxes (which is what like 75% of furs?) to me the ones that just feel kinda "fox" are the ones that go back to #1 not a leader not a follower but also not a dick. As a fox you are just there, 10,000 or 0 people may talk to you but you react the same and as a fox that always differs from the fox on any side of you. Such is to say you just kind of... do, something that is intend to be nice.
