I think that Xplay could use with less of the scripted skits that they seem to love, and more of the unscripted discussion about games. I remember right before they told us Xplay was "leveling up" there were a couple of episodes where Adam and Morgan just sat there and talked about games that they were playing or gaming trends they didn't like, and I thought "If this show was just this type of shit they might get a better reputation" (I know it sounds like Yahtzee in the Mario review but I didn't try that).
Anyway, I can understand why they changed Xplay to what it is now, they're trying to get a wider viewership of non-hardcore gamers. Personally if I were one of the execs I'd bring back a few of the older shows (like Screen Savers) and spin off most of Xplay's non reviewer segments into AOTS (I admit I've never really watched AOTS but it seems like 90% of what they're trying to do is get teens to giggle at suggestive titles) and return Xplay to a reviews show (maybe with a few of the interviews/game based discussions). Cheat I can see not returning as a full show because of the gamefaqs and cousin sites. I'd also probably try to pick up some of the more mature comedy shows (or rerun the REAL Man's Show type of things, with Adam Carolla and Jimmy Kimmel?) to keep the teenage demographic. And I'd probably try to come up with a show or two to work on the backround of geekdom culture (maybe a comic book show and a show that covers the video game tie ins, like the comic books, movies, literature etc.)
