The only thing I use G4 for is E3, GDC, and Leipzig coverage. That and Code Monkeys. I used to love X-Play, but its gone to crap. OH, and Human Wreckingball was pretty funny!
It is on either Wed or Thurs nights. And it is more likely than not (since I live in Canada and don't get the Cartoon Network) the same show. Then again the G4 we get is different from yours as well. They advertise shows like American Ninja but we never get them.barryween said:
I actually enjoy Sessler and Webb as a team, but I don't like X-Play itself because of the frequent attempts at sophmoric humor. Never really cared for Attack of the Show, do love Code Monkeys, and honestly? I love watching Cops on G4. We watch it late at night at work. There, I said it.
At the risk of being a pariah, I'd honestly say I like G4 more than Tech TV or Ziff Davis Network. Some of their stuff is pure crap, but when it was still ZDTV, it was -all- crap except for Gamespot TV.

About 12 minutes of over the top blood guts and gore in a jail located in a volcano. The warden looks like Waldo. Got some creepy teleporting twins (not sure if they are male or female). A she-man guard named Alice. And some guy with a moustache always gets busted at the beginning by a killer robot.barryween said:

G4 channel has no clue what it wants to be. You have to go to the web site to get any good info on games from them. I occasionally watched that channel until Charter moved it or took it off, they did something with it. Now I don't care because they never show anything on gaming.

G4 was always a worthless piece of shit and I was really sad the day that TechTV (which had some interesting shows) was replaced by G4. Thankfully there's still the Science Channel for cool shows.

G4 is already going the way of MTV.... it's a channel that's SUPPOSED to be about video games, or the video game industry. And they have a handful of shows that are based on them... but the rest of the time they just show stuff like Cops, Lost, Ninja Warrior, etc. Stuff that has nothing to do with games.
And they hire a lot of hot chicks to talk about games even though you can be sure none of these chicks know squat about games. But it's a good way to capture the basement-bound nerd class.

It's true that G4 sucks now. I only watch it for its E3 coverage once a year. Their shows are just terrible.
I live in Canada, so we have a channel called G4 TECH TV! So we only get some of the G4 shows like X-Play, Aots etc... Most of the threads I just read was all negative so ill be supportive to the channel I usually watch because theres nothing else about video games on TV except GameTrailers. Recently, G4 losing money so had to cut some of the shows. So now X-Play isn't on everyday. To save money (I guess) they show: Heros, Lost, and some imported shows form Japan. O forgot Code Monkeys!
G4 is nice to have on in the background I guess. I don't have any problems with X-Play or AOTS, they're pretty entertaining most of the time (all shows have their off days). However I don't care for the new G4 originals they are pumping out, in theory I guess it would be nice for G4 to have all original programming on all the time. But making shows like Web Soup and a show that shows attractive females doing stupid crap from around the world is not really good TV, or good anything for that matter.
