So here is a picture diary about a recent gadget hack I did, primarily out of inebriation and boredom
So I picked up an Energizer 4x Wii Induction pad
All you have to do is place a Wiimote on it and it charges it with the magic of induction
It comes with 4 battery packs. I only have 1 WiiMote I use all the time. So 3 of those bad boys are going to waste.
Check it out! 2 AA batteries. How many other devices use AA batteries?
Just a few screws and some elbow grease and the adapter for the wii pops right off. Yep! 2 AA batteries!
Induction coils!
As a test, let me first test the functionality on a device I don't really need. An Xbox 360 remote control. If I somehow blow it up, no loss.
There were some small plastic bits that held the pack from fitting. Nothing an xacto-knife couldn't fix!
A perfect fit!
It Charges! Silly pad, thinking its charging a wiimote.
After a charge, it works! powers on and navigates the dashboard flawlessly.
So, has anyone else done any device hacks?
