in the recent months, my computer seemed to have taken an offense to my gaming, and will protest my efforts at gaming every so often. I can stand it no longer!
whenever i play a videogame on my computer (Mount&blade, Portal, Half-life2, Penumbra Overture, etc), after a few minutes of playing, my gamewill suddenly lag HORRIBLE, going down to about 1 frame-per-second... and then it eventually randomly goes away after a little bit. at first i thought it was steam(which i uninstalled/reinstalled), but even my non-steam games have the problem. so far the only game i've played on my computer that hasn't had this problem is World of Goo, and that may only be because i haven't played it for an extended period of time. currently, whenever it happens, all I can do is just pause the game and wait it out, but I've had it! this is driving me insane!
this is really annoying me, and I want to fix it so i can actually game. any ideas on what the problem is/what the solution might be?
EDIT: i use the original graphics card that my computer came with (which i think is a 'NVIDIA GeForce 9100')
