Great matchmaking should be a standard at this point. If these fighting games are really going to survive outside of the casuals, they need quick and great matchmaking. Max has a big point and the problems with modern matchmaking. We're in the 9th generation, and still a big problem for certain fighting games.
Announcement trailer for Pokemon Legends Z-A, which among new to the franchise changes appears to involve free movement during combat, which itself appears to be real time. There is also lots more environment traversal for the trainer.
Not sure if they announced Gen 9 - or if Legends counts at Gen 9 - but its certainly a good looking game.
Gen 9 is Scarlet and Violet, which came out a couple of years ago and even has multiple DLC packs released.
Legends Z-A is a Gen 9 spinoff.

It does, I sometimes have trouble remembering which Gen is which aside from the first few. Based upon that, I can surmise that Gen 10 was NOT announced or otherwise teased.
OTOH you need the latest hardware less and less for PC gaming.
The day I realized I literally can't see ray tracking was the most liberating day since the day I realized I can't hear the difference between digitally mastered vinyl reissues and music streaming services. You really do not need to spend a lot of money to enjoy like literally every piece of media and entertainment in the world.
