I still prefer Tropical Freeze over Returns. Challenging, but for the right reasons, and much more level variety with playable characters. Dixie Kong for life!
I never played Tropical Freeze because I don't own a console to play it on, but I can see that. Returns was alright, but was seriously hamstrung with a bad control scheme that shoehorned in unnecessary motion controls.

Get on that whenever you can.

Exactly why the Wii version is completely obsolete and worthless now. Either get the 3DS version or the recently released Switch version. Even without the motion controls, Returns is only barely better than DKC3.

Hmm, I actually do have the 3ds version, but I never played very far in it. The controls still weren't very good.

And to add insult to injury, the developers didn't even bother to include support for the Wii's "Classic Controller".

Luckily you could patch it in through some community magic though.

Doing this also re-maps the shaking of the controller to an actual button.

I've been watching a lot of challenge run videos lately. A lot of the ones Sample does are pretty good, but I really liked this one from Shwep. He beats Minecraft on hardcore mode with no backups or tick acceleration in a world that is a single block of water surrounded by an endless void. It's crazy how far you can build up in the game starting with nothing but a fishing rod. The only flaw with the run is that the world also generates an end portal and a single block of lava somewhere, but the run would be impossible otherwise.

This video really points out the really dumb, foolish, pretenders, and fake fans. I know some fans are really dumb. But the way some of these comments reads prove they've never read, nor seen an actual thing related to Wolverine. Or their information is all from warped, second and third hand from other people.

Well, the German rating board will love this

EDIT: well, never mind, noticed that article is quite old, and that Hitler has since been removed from the title and is now Dictator X, SMT2 style. Maybe with cool shades too.

The developers of MindsEye studio Build a Rocket Boy are suing the executives for "systemic mistreatment, mismanagement, and mishandling of the redundancy process".

Unfortunately "being absolute shitlords" isn't something you can sue executives for, but it should be.

There was a Java Ratchet & Clank game planned for 2006, but it was cancelled last minute, even tho it was basically complete. Allegedly, it saw a brief accidental release in Canada, before being pulled. Fans have now found a working copy and released it into the wild.

That said, it's an old Java game, but for anyone interested:
