So I decided to reread this article, and the only thing I disagree with is the person's view on Ghension Impact. About is fan service in a game that consists of scheming micro transactions and gacha mechanics that feeds on people's addictions and spending problems. I don't understand how the writer feels that Lara Craft makes her uncomfortable. Unless she's talking about the classic version, or the reboot version that gets abused a lot (with physical and emotional trauma), and it's supposed to be seen as inspirational or uplifting. She never elaborates, but if it's either of those two, then I agree with her. Also, Aloy won't be the defining, changing moment that makes the whole entire gaming industry get their act together. She'll help, but it won't change the entire course in one move. It'll take more than that. But with everything else, I agree with Kim on, or I see the points she's trying to make.
Extra: Bayonetta being an example I can see where she's coming from as well. I was more so indifferent towards this example, but these criticisms never really bothered me too much. I can just agree with her and say that not everyone needs to be Bayonetta, Lara Croft, or whatever, etc. If you don't like the character; understandable.
