A Ray video from nearly 4 years ago.
I've heard people say that "DrDisrespect" is just a character and that the guy behind it is actually a nice person, but stuff like this makes me seriously question that assertion.Edit: I'm not that surprised Doctor Disrespect tried to sell nfts. He's a guy that always try to go with what's popular or claim that everybody wants this (Halo needs be a battle royale) when in reality, it's only what he wants to make sure he has consistent watchers and followers
I haven't heard any other rumors, so this is the first. The only reason I do about him at the time, was because of one of Keef's one of his videos on Fall Guys. The other time was when Act-Man was calling out all the streamers who said that the only way Halo Infinite could succeed is if it went full battle royale. Doc being one of them. I watched Doc's response video, and you can tell that his argument got completely shut down as the more points Act had made, the less Doc could counter argue. To the point that he didn't even finish the video, and turned it off while his streamers were still watching as well. Later on he tries to avoid that point all together, and make some bull crap up. Once I saw that, I stayed away from him.I've heard people say that "DrDisrespect" is just a character and that the guy behind it is actually a nice person, but stuff like this makes me seriously question that assertion.
Isn't he the guy who cheated on his wife (possibly with a fan?), "retired" and then come back being exactly the same. I don't follow the streaming scene (not that there's anything wrong with it, new form of media will always crop up and the older generation will tell them to get off thieir lawn no matter what) but that's one of the few story that made it out of that bubble into more mainstream news.I've heard people say that "DrDisrespect" is just a character and that the guy behind it is actually a nice person, but stuff like this makes me seriously question that assertion.
If you don't want to play the game, I completely understand. No one's going to shame, nor judge you. Aside from two exceptions, I stopped caring for sandbox games since 2012/2013.
So I'm gonna be honest, the more I hear about HFW the less I actually want to play it. This in addition to the plot apparently being a bit more off the rails and people in the subreddit constantly complaining about legendary weapons being nerfed (which makes me think of looter shooters), it basically gives the impression that HFW is a much more bloated version of HZD and succumbed to all the open world time wasting shit almost every other open world game is doing and that HZD approached with some measure of restraint.
Don't get me wrong, I was excited for this game a couple months ago. It isn't even that I'm having a blast playing ER, it's that , much like you, I'm mostly done with open world type games. Partially because there's so many of them now and partially because they all seem to have the same sort of fucking busywork to pad the length of them. HZD felt like it was an exception to that(and not just because of the strong plot and robot dinos) in that there were only a handful of towers, cauldrons, camps, collectibles were at a minimum and resource gathering was tied into the robot dino killing(which is what you're doing most of the game anyway). There was a restraint as far as open worlds go and HFW seems to have abandoned it in favor of "HZD but MORE!"If you don't want to play the game, I completely understand. It's all good man. I have not forgotten you were excited at one point. We all do. This happened me more times than I care to count with many games.Don't get me wrong, I was excited for this game a couple months ago. I wonder what Vaz is thinking in that thumbnail.
"I wonder if I can make hacky sacks out of her kidneys."I wonder what Vaz is thinking in that thumbnail.
I didn’t watch Jim’s vid yet if he was calling out Dr Disrespect, but not that surprising after seeing what his typical streams are like. It may be characterization but he had to make the choice for his act in the first place. Some of it can be funny, but he literally could be perceived as a walking talking NFT ad without a second glance.I've heard people say that "DrDisrespect" is just a character and that the guy behind it is actually a nice person, but stuff like this makes me seriously question that assertion.
I’ve only played enough to get out into the main “open” part, but it feels like the core game is still good on the surface. Maybe they just went bigger in too many of the wrong ways. It’s a problem with sequels where “more is better”, and the issue seems to be compounded with story driven open world games. They wind up with too many components fighting for the player’s time and attention with none of them better off for it.
