You know how people do book burnings to get rind of books that offended them or they hated? What if their was a game burning? If their was would their be any games that you would throw in?

I would throw in my Sonic Unleashed and the 2008 version of Alone in the Dark. That game was just better on the PS1.

Not a one, not even the ones that I didn't like.

Burning stuff cause you hate or fear it is so last century.

Beyond Good and Evil. I hated it so much and whenever it's brought up it just gets endless praise. I know "different people have different opinions" and all that, but I don't have to be happy about it.

I wouldn't burn a game...

To do so would mean you still had to buy it in bulk which rewards the bad programmer.

Now if I could throw the programmers on the fire...

The team who messed up the remake of Bionic commando would be first...

I would not throw away a single game. I would rather sell a game to my local used games store or sell/give it to someone I know than destroy it.

I wouldn't burn any games, even the ones that suck. Just as I have too much respect for literature to ever burn a book, I have too much respect for gaming in general to ever burn someone's work. And, games contain plastic which releases noxious chemicals when burnt. Burning a stack a of games would release a lot of nasty chemicals into the air and probably make people attending get sick if the wind shifted the smoke in their direction.

Couldn't agree more.

I'd throw Yoshio Sakamoto on a fire along with every copy of Metroid Other M in existence.

If it makes you any happier, Grin, the guys who did it, went bankrupt almost right after Bionic Commando was released.
A bitter sweet victory as this shit pickle will harm any more chance of my childhood fav being remade into a awesome game.
But in the end it is these type people and these remakes, reimagining, reboots and revomits why I can always find at least a dozen more games worse than say ET for the 2600 for worse game of all time...

Would it be okay to pirate a game to burn it to disc and then burn the disc? Could be a rather nice workaround, though I worry I'm courting suspension or probation by suggesting piracy as a solution, and we must spare a thought for impoverished developers and publishers not making money out of terrible games that we only want for our fires...

Now we make websites flaming it.

What hows that change anything?

Maybe we should melt them with plasma?

Ahh but it's not pirating it unless you install it on a machine eh eh?

This exactly. Nobody could have said it better, but me.

I try to ignore anything I don't like, works well for me most of the time.

Barring my ability to do that I usually have a conversation about why I don't like it and changes that could have been made to make it better.

Being rational is a weird idea isn't it?

This reminds me of something.

Ah, yes. This [http://www.destructoid.com/german-group-hosts-modern-book-burning-for-killer-games--152051.phtml]. There was no burning, but still...

No, I wouldn't burn any games. I'd try to sell them and if that fails throw them in the trash.

Burn a game -> Game disappears -> Developers still have your money.

Resell a game -> Game disappears into the hands of another idiot who can now get the game for a lower price -> Developers don't get a single penny out of that potential buyer.

Upload the game online and then resell it -> Game disappears and is now readily available for anyone else curious about how shitty the game is -> Company loses a fuckton of potential buyers.

So pirating a game is even worse than burning it. This works either way. If you pirate a good game, you're killing it, and if you burn a bad game, you could be doing so much worse with it.

I'd probably do the same, and place the Sonic Adventure games next to the fire so they can laugh at their successors they were disappoint with.
