Game climaxes which disappoint?

Sadly my decisions made the epic fight turn into the baseball bat scene from Inglourious Bastards.

He stood there and I just kept hitting.

You could have done what I did and re-enact the scene from reservoir dogs (with the music as well) then much fun.

The ending of Far Cry 2 was pathetic if you ask me.

[spoiler/] You're sent through an enclosed area and kill lots of enemies, only for you to kill yourself in the end, just pathetic. [/spoiler]

Wow, I'm glad I stopped playing a few missions into the second area. That ending is just.... Disapointing.
Thanks for saving me the rage of finding that out the hard way.

Borderlands. Flat out terrible - the entire bloody game was a huge build-up to accessing the vault, and all you get is a lousy boss fight (spray and pray for 10 minutes or until you run out of ammo) and then that's it?!

And AC2 was always going to have an obtuse/unclear ending. They need to set up for AC3. I didn't think it was that bad - it'll be interesting to see how they resolve the series. Hell, it'll be interesting to see where the next one is set!

Agree completely with this guy. While the AC2 ending was not excactly a release...there will be a round 3. But borderlands was the biggest letdown of all time.

The endings for all three campaigns in Aliens vs Predator on the 360. And by endings, I really mean boss fights.

I hate endings in sandbox games where the completion of the main quest doesn't mean the end of the game. I can see why they're doing it, because obviously some people want to go and get 100% completion or whatever, but I just think it guts the story completely, especially when there's not really much else of any significance to do.

Also, for some reason, the Suicide Mission in Mass Effect 2 lacked the impact that Mass Effect 1's final mission had.

Mass Effect had a bad climax, imho. Horribly cliche, boring and predictable.

Definately Halo 2. That whole "Finish the fight" crap was lame, and I was ready to throw my controller through the tv.
