Urrrrg I'm playing Assassins Creed 2's new DLC BTW that came out today for 320 Points on Xbox dont know on PS3 though. Back on topic so I've been playing Saboteur for a while and theirs climbing in both games. now in Saboteur you climb by pressing A in Creed you need to only point where to go so i've been playing the game and been jumping off constantly CURSE YOU CONTROL SCHEME.

This isn't a rant dont worry so tell me: When switching through games do you usually mix up the controls if so how?

The worst thing that happened to me is switching from Fallout 3 to CoD4. I kept trying to loot the bodies in CoD4.

Yes. The movement for units command in between SIns of a Solar Empire and Rome total War. It took me a while to not right click to move in Sins.

Also the control schemes between different installments of hte same series like Devil may Cry and DMC 3. I feel so hindered in DMC compared to 3.

-edit- YOU SHOULD be able to loot bodies in COD. What a dumb thing not to incorporate.

Switching between FPSs of various sorts I end up confusing the reload, jump, action etc buttons.

For example: Valve consistently has B as reload (360 BTW), A as jump, X as action, Y as...something, I'm not sure.

Halo X is reload, A is jump, B is Melee, Y is switch weapon, except in Halo 3 where right shoulder button is reload, X is some sort of weird pickup thing, and all the rest the same.

Switching between L4D, Half Life 2, Halo 1 or 2 and Halo 3, especially in one session (gaming with friends is the only example I got), ends up really bloody confusing. (This also extends to 3rd person shooters like GUN, Red Dead Revolver, Max Payne etc)

I always do that if I go from a game with guns to another game with guns, so I ussually die incredibly quickly in online or single player

The comma is your friend.

OT: Yes, definitely. When I play MW2 for a while then switch to MGS4, I hit O instead of X to crouch. The Same thing happens when I switch from MGS4 to MW2.

Fallout 3, circle brings up the menus and select brings up the "wait" window. In Borderlands, select brings up the menu, circle does... I've forgotten now...

But basically, when playing fallout 3 I keep bringing up the wait window when I want the menus.

Oh god yes. Suffering from this right now in fact. Playing Resistance 2 and Halo ODST at the same time gets confusing sometimes...

First time I really suffered from this was with Silent Hill and whatever Resident Evil I was playing at the time on PS1.

yeah i hate this, i hate it when games have reload as the X or B button, i mean WHAT THE FUCK? its way easier to just have it as a bumper, then use the dpad to switch weapons, and use x and such for special things such as open door or loot

games i have trouble adjusting with is going from borderlands to halo then to call of duty

dear god, and call of duty was on ps3, so the l1 and r1 were the triggers instead (have no fucking clue as to why) so i was throwing grenades and what not when i was trying to shoot and accidently hitting the dpad when i wanted to use the joystick

The only time I really mess with the controls is when they try to trick me by inverting the verticle camera angles. If I push up I want the camera to move up dammit! Other than that I usually get used to whatever wonky control scheme they have me playing with this time.
