I was bored and wiki'ing random things what popped into my head. I then searched Yahtzee Crowshaw and found his page. I then found out he does (or done I don't know if it continued) a web series called Game Damage. It's quite good:
I had similar feelings - and I've watched the whole pilot. Also, the MGS and Halo segments were fun at first, but the same gag done over and over again is just not gonna work...Jaqen Hghar said:I didn't like it. I really got the feeling that Yahtzee was the star of the show, and the others worshipped him. And he seemed to do his best in looking very bored and miserable... Which really seemed like an act.
Granted, I only bothered watching the first five minutes or so.
I quite liked it myself. Last I heard, some Australian TV networks have been interested in it and have spoken to Yahtzee and the others about screening the show. Not sure what's happening with it now though, although if it does get made as a proper TV show I'll definitely watch it. Just depends on if it'll be shown in the UK as well or if I'll have to watch it through t'interwebz...Desert Tiger said:Liked it, but I haven't heard anything from it since.
Yeah. I am sure that if this turns into a fully fledged show, it can be pretty good. But the pilot seemed to be way focused on Yahtzee. Funny enough, I hope it was picked up. 'cause I can only see good things in having Yahtzee on the TV screen, comedy-wise.RyQ_TMC said:I had similar feelings - and I've watched the whole pilot. On the other hand, they probably realize that while the pilot might run exclusively on Yahtzee's popularity, later episodes (and I've heard a rumor that GD has been picked up) would have to go for more inherent quality.
If I were a TV exec, I'd probably pick it up hoping to cash in on Yahtzee's 5 minutes of fame, but be ready to cancel it after one season if it doesn't go down well or loses it appeal early on.
