This has only come to my attention very recently but its starting to bug me now so im gonna rant about it :)

As a "Demo" you would have thought a demo of a big, upcoming game would be long enough to include all the gameplay elements while giving away very little, if none, of the story-line. The Force unleashed demo (on ps3 i played it, i don't know if xbox 360 is different but i doubt it) does that, it introduces some combos, the force powers, even lets you go up a level! While giving away bugger all of the story in general.

However, i was recently trawling these forums when i came across the force unleashed topic some topics down and saw a comment (i wont name names) saying that the demo is too short! My immediate response to that is: "ITS A DEMO, WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?". Do you want several hours of gameplay, revealing major plot points as you go? NO (well at least i don't want to).

A major opposite to this argument is the Heavenly Sword(s) demo a long time ago. As Yahtzee quite rightly put its way too short to do anything. As you don't get to experiment very much with combos or anything else really. And the damn demo finished before any real challenge or "boss fight". Unlike Force Unleashed demo where you get a boss fight at the end against the walker thing!

Thats my rant, anyone agree of disagree??

P.S as a star wars fan i am ashamed that i cant remember the proper name of the walker at the end of Force Unleashed demo :( lol

I like it when demos have like a different level where you do meet different enemies and play in different ways, like the Jedi Outcast demo or Half Life: Uplink.

AT-AT= Four Legs
AT-ST= Two legs.

Demos need to be a good 45 mins - hour long.
It's just long enought to draw you in and want to keep playing if it's good & long enough to get bored and not bother if it's crap.

Obviously with games being shorter & shorter an hour seems a lot but the Folklore demo was very good and a game I'll definately be getting. Albeit, second hand.
