Game Developer Cage Match!!!

Can you imagine the news team battle scene from Anchorman, but with Game Developers? Well I can, and I want to see your ideas fellow Escapists. If two or more dev teams went into battle, who would be left standing, and who would be sent to work in the great big computer room in the sky?

Personally, I want to see Bioware and Bethesda having a smackdown. Bioware would be armed with pens and scripts thick enough to shatter a man's skull, while Bethesda has socks full of gold coins and fifty pound bags of money. It'd silence a lot of the debates I have with my friends over who makes the better RPG.

Someone in our company actually ended up getting into a bit of a fight with the guys who make Fable as they used to play football together, and the guys across the road took it really seriously. I would have loved to have seen that.

I'd love to see Mojang versus the horde of Microsoft or some other sort of underdog battle. Also, EA versus Bioware could make an interesting civil war type scenario.

Nintendo against anyone would be epic, a load of Japanese guys running around wielding wii controllers as nun-chucks with killer ROBs shooting gyros at people and Miyamoto would be wielding his master sword and his shield while Reggie's getting his body ready. Then shit would go down...

I'd like to see Squenix, EA and Activion fight all the companies they absorbed and killed. Imagine the lead developer at Pandemic beating an EA copying clerk to death with Final Fantasy merchandise while Yoicji Wada chased Robert Kotick with a lemon baller...

That would actually be awesome. I can imagine Gabe with every single one of his knives strapped all over his body as he pulls them out and throws them at random EA employees whilst laughing maniacally.

Edmund McMillen vs. Jonathon Blow, as an example of arthouse-indie vs. distilled version of unused genre-indie. For his comments about the Japanese games industry, Phil Fish could probably do something similar against ZUN.

Well, the last time there was a Bioware vs Bethesda fight, Bioware won 4-2 in TF2.
