Anyone else feel like there is just too many good games being released simultaneously? I mean for me there are at least 6 games that have been released this month that I want to play. If they had been staggered over last few months rather than all trying to hit the holiday market, I would a probably gotten them all on release day. As it is now, I can?t decide if I want deep RPG with Skyrim or light hearted silliness with Saints Row and I have to stop myself from picking up Assassin?s Creed and 3 other games until I?ve beaten or got tired of at least one of the two.

I just look at them as 'stores' that I can use up during the coming winter and spring.

IF I ever get tired of Skyrim, that is. This game is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge.

It's always like this so that people buy some on release... then end up getting them for christmas....

That, and, devs have to release at the same time to try and steal the other(s) potential buyers market...

Still, I kinda don't mind having so many released at once... Means that I buy one on release (Skyrim) play that for however many months I feel like...

Then pick up A-Creed or FPS in around Feb when prices have died....

It's not that there are too many good games being released for me, it's just that I find there are no interesting ones.

First we complain that there are too many crap games.
Then we complain that there are too many good games.

Boo-hoo.

I don't think this is inconsistant. It is more or less a could we release things at more than 2 times a year. I realize games come out constantly, but it seems like any title that is expected to sell in the multimillions has to come out in Nov or Jul

I wasn't meaning to point out inconsistency, I just found it hilariously obtuse that one would complain in any respect about having "too many good games".

November is ridiculous. But December-February? Barren. I seriously don't know of a single game I want between November 20 (Skyward Sword) and March 6 (Mass Effect 3). So your backlog might be rapidly expanding now, but you'll be able to whittle it down over the next few months.

Yep. Not only are there too many great games, but they're all pretty big ones too...Most notably Skyrim. I expect to put in a lot of time with Arkham City and SR3 as well. Time management's a *****.
