This magazine kind of bores me. I flip through it and read everything but most of it is what a gamer already knows. The reviews are kinda blah because all of them are just saying the setting of the game and then saying it's cool and they only review the most popular well rated games it feels. It's not a big deal to me because gamestop sends it to me free with the purchise of Dragon Age I just think they could get a little me interesting articles.

I mean they two pages dedicated to a article about the safety system on systems. What? Does any gamer really care about that. Or do they think moms are reading it?

Any other views on this?

I think they have fairly good previews, but fairly bland reviews.

They can be funny at times, so theres that.

I saw that article on safety you were talking about, and yeah, it was pretty stupid. That said, don't judge based on a single issue. I've been reading Game Informer since I was able to read (around 1999) and haven't stopped getting them. Some issues are great, some suck ass, but it seems like there is always something I didn't know inside of each one.

I like the cover stories. Always like to see something that hasn't got a lot of attention and find out about it.

I think it's terrible and find it hard to believe that they actually play the games they review. They give shit great scores but great games get shit lower then 7.5 which in the world of game reviews is terrible. I never got that, why the fuck do we use a ten scale if no one ever dips below 5, I'm sure even a professional reviewer these days wouldn't give Big rigs anything less then a 5.

They're treating it like test scores in school. So anything below a 6.5 is basically a failing grade. 7's are treated as exceedingly average, 8's are above average, and 9-10 is amazing.
