Game installation question, Please help!!

So I want to play Nehrim but I can't because I've modded the hell out of my original oblivion files. I want to make a copy of all the oblivion files and uninstall the original and then reinstall so I can play both nehrim and modded oblivion. Is this possible? I have put so much time into oblivion modding that losing it would be painful.

make a list of all the mods you have then uninstal the game reinstal it and instal nerhim
