Let's see if we can come up with interesting game mash-ups!

After playing Factorio and Infinifactory I've been fantasizing about how awesome those games would mix. Factorio Has the constant thread of the local fauna, large logistical problems and is best played building modular systems that you can expand on. Infinifactory is all about making modular little factories in 3d, and trying to make them as "cheap" and efficient as possible.

I think those two games together could make a spectacular base building survival game with deep complexity. What are your thoughts, any other games you want to shove in the Pokédaycare and breed an interesting hybrid?

To be fair, a lot of games could be improved by giving it a "designed by Supergiant" modifier. I'm not sure how they would mix the gameplay with VC though.

well think the Transistor aesthetic and steam punk style world. With the third person turn based gameplay of VC mixed with multiple actions and reset times of transistor. So rather than having one turn for good guys and one turn for bad guys, everyone gets a separate battle gauge, when that person turns comes up the game freezes so that one person can make their actions in a VC style third person style, but they can take multiple actions and movements that all play out when the person ends the turn

Star Wars the Force Unleashed (we'll take the gameplay and destructible scenery) and Knights of the Old Republic (We'll take the settings, general place in time and maybe a couple of characters). Bam, THIS is what I wanted out of Force Unleashed 2, not more Starkiller but an anthology taking place all over Star Wars canon.

Let's take the Thetrhythm style of play and its tendency to service fans and apply it to Nintendo. Form a party of four characters from the Mario games, Zelda games, Metroid, Kid Icarus, Pokemon, etc and tap, swipe and, press your way through hundreds of classic songs from hundreds of classic games. I don't know if there would be a battle theme like in the Final Fantasy titles but there would definitely be scrolling and cutscene tracks which are always a treat...even if they would end up being taxing on a 3DS card.

Final Fantasy Musou...Or should I say, Final Fantasy Warriors. Pick a game since any will do. You want to play as Locke wading through Goblins? You want to play as Kain making his way through Tower of Zot? You want to play as Cloud, buster-sword-blasting his way through Shinra HQ? How about Steiner rushing through Mist Monsters alongside Beatrix? I know I want it!

I don't want to mix two specific games for this but I want to point out that at some point, FPS games stepped away from gibbing enemies. I realize some of these want to be realistic and taken seriously but part of the fun of playing an FPS for me is hitting an enemy with one good shot and watching said enemy fly away in twelve directions. Solider of Fortune let you dismember people with your combat knife which was psychotic but pretty damn fun. Why can't I do with with the plasma sword in Halo? I don't recall gibbing being a thing I could do in the CoD games I've played recently either (to be fair, I've only played Modern Warfare 1 and 2).

Sim City and Civilization seems like a hilarious thought.

Just spent hours micro-managing your city to be the best it can be? Cool. Now do the rest for the other 3/6/20/whatever cities in your empire, then take care of managing the actual empire itself, then you can click 'End Turn'.

Thank you for giving fuel to my future nightmares.
