Was there ever a game you played so much that now if you ever try to play it you notice that you have memorized the game and can literally beat the game with your eyes closed?

For me that would have to be Max Payne, to this day I can still beat that came with my eyes closed.

This kind of thing is downright necessary to play a "Bullet Hell"-type game well.
I'm still trying to learn how to do this in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil...

Well really the only game I could name would be portal because all of the other games I play are in depth enough that you would never replay the game and have it be exactly the same. I suppose I could have said Halo as well but at this point I think I wouldn't remember all of it anymore.

I can probably do this with a good chunk of Devil May Cry 3, though only on Easy difficulty (and probably not including the boss fights...'cept maybe Cerberus, Agni and Rudra, and Beowulf).

Other than that, I could probably do a few levels of Sonic 2 just from memory, though I'd have to refresh myself on distances...

Metal Gear Solid 3. I played it (literally) seven times in a row. I had every item, and knew where every single enemy would be.

a bit of Ratchet: Gladiator. just jump around, hold R1 and keep running. with the aiming mod the Dual Raptors have, everything will be dead.

I played through gears of war so many times with each and every one of my friends, that i memorized the number, location, and battle tactics of every single enemy in the entire game. I knew how to get through the game using only one of my weapon slots, no grenades, no pistol, on hardcore. Swapping out for the sniper, or a shotgun, or torque bow at just the right time. Its kind of sad actually...

Half-Life 2 - lost count after completing the game 30 times. (I would estimate in total i've finished it somewhere around 35 - 37 times) I know every level in and out and am quite confident I could play it through with my eyes closed if I really cared enough to try. I also know every line spoken in the game by heart and often recite the dialogue when I'm bored (and not in the presence of other people)

This is my nerdiest achievement that I'm not particularly proud of, but on an internet forum surrounded by nerds you can be proud of strange things... :p

Happens to me in Batman. What specifically happens is random, but in combat I have this mental flowchart of what I do next in combat based on what happens. Also most stealth games, I think people basically just die over and over until they work out a specific sequence. Kinda a self-death-toll for the genre.

I know Silent Hill 2 pretty well. Beaten it 6 times, and have every intention of playing it again. But I space it out enough between playing that I don't have it completely memorized, and it still hits me like a brick every time I play.

The first Tony Hawk game. I could (and probably still can) pull off a variety of fluid, seamless, high-scoring runs for each level.

I know the Ratchet and Clank games well, I could get through with no deaths if I wanted, but not with eyes closed

I agree with this. I played the first Tenchu over and over until I figured out the quickest and easiest way of completing it with 'grand master' ranking.

I still remember much of where and when the enemiest appear in the shmup 'Under Defeat' also, despite not having played it for such a long time.

Any Soulcalibur game. Just close your eyes and press buttons.
This. Sliding your fingers blindly and randomly over the buttons is actually more effective than trying to employ strategy.

I could probably complete portal with my keyboard behind my back.
I dunno actually, I only really play multiplayer games and they're different each time..
