Anyone got some good mods out there? Can be for any game.

Looking forward to Dawn of War 2: Firestorm over Aurelia when it is released. Full scale Warhammer 40K with up to date visuals.

Does anyone else have any really good mods they want to share?

I haven't experienced mods myself, but I do recall a spell in Oblivion that rains watermelons on whoever you choose.

I'm most likely getting Morrowind for the PC soon, so I could then share some really cool mods.

Raining watermelons? I'm gonna have to check that one out.

Haha I was talking to my friend at Gamestop about Oblivion, and he mentions that mod, and I thought it was so funny. I also heard there is(or will be)a mod that lets you fly dragons in that game.

Let's you go to Morrowind. In Oblivion.

Do I have to explain how awesome that is?

Research and Development. It's one of the greatest Half Life 2 mod ever made. Think of it as Portal except with many different kinds of puzzles and you use the gravity gun. Plus, it's extremely fun and well designed.

My god, is that mod ever fun.
Half Life 2 has some great mods. SMOD, Dear Esther, Eternal Silence, and this. They're all great.

There's a mod that makes it rain gems, weapons, balls, torches and probably even armours. It could have been changed to include basically everything affected by gravity. It was one of the best mods I ever used. Destroyed my framerate though.

The dragon mod breaks the game. Twice as fast as a 'normal' mount, in a fight they win from every enemy and they can be summoned everywhere.(even in oblivion gates)

On-Topic: SMOD a mod for Half Life 2, all versions are great, with the main SMOD changes being the addition of bullet time, allies that can be killed by the player, a Duke Nukem kick, a possibility to randomize enemies and their equipment and a way to easily add new weapons. I haven't searched for new SMODs for a few years and the ones I downloaded haven't been patched since I got them.(all downloaded in 2006 and 2007) But I know that Tactical and SMOD are still being patched, Tactical gets a new version this summer and SMOD fairly recently(somewhere in 2009) got a new version compatible with Episode 2.
SMOD:redux5(BETA version, impossible to find since 6 was released and 6 lost all these unique features) Redux5 is great because you get different character models(6 copied Tactical), third person camera and minor changes to the game.(health, armour and ammo caps are raised/lowered, even a special ability for characters) It didn't really change the game, but running around as Agent Smith(or Lara Croft, Master Chief, a Stormtrooper, Solid Snake) killing everything with watermelons and explosive bananas using a Resident Evil style camera is fucking awesome.
Outbreak changed the early chapters in a form of zombie survival(ends after Ravenholm) adding enemies from Doom3(Hell Knight), Stalker(tentacle face) and possibly from other games too.
CSS Sci-Fi converted CSS maps so they could be used in HL2, adding pathfinding and making the game objective based(find and escort a turret/NPC, kill everything, rescue an NPC) I think it got a slight AI upgrade.
SMOD Tactical was good but I didn't like the way the game's difficulty was increased(dead in a few hits) and how they changed the aiming system(drag the crosshair to the edge of the screen to turn around) but the new weapons, ironsights and bullet penetration have balanced it out. There are a few fuck you areas though, with extremely accurate enemies on a pole at distances where even the sniper rifle can barely show them.

I have mods for almost every game I own. I have quite high standards for games, and for most of the games that I get, I need to mod them before I consider them enjoyable. Fallout 3 was a prime example of this. The game bored me till I got the Enclave Commander mod, some sniper rifle mods, a radio mod that added 100 more 1950's songs, and some perk mods.

I've spent many hours in Third Age:Total War, a mod for Medieval 2, and Stainless Steel is essentially Medieval 2, but 3 times bigger, more detailed, with better factions, units, and graphics.

The seven deadly sins mod for Sins of a Solar Empire adds quite a few new races into the game, and the volumetric explosion mod makes things go boom shinier.

For Company of Heroes, standard play now consists of me booting the game through the Eastern Front mod launcher and being able to play withe everyone as well as play as the Russians with other people who have the mod. The Battle of the Bulge mod is an awesome historical mod that gives tanks realistic ranges(about 2 screen lengths or so), makes weapon ranges and damage accurate(when an mg opens fire, expect people to die) and improves gameplay mechanics.

The Specialists mod for HL1. Best mod I have ever played.
THE GREATEST. That mod got me into the Half-Life series. Hell, I bought HL1 for it.

I've modded my Counter-Strike Source to the point of self-implosion.
Oh sweet someone else who knows that mod. Most people I talk to have never heard of it's greatness. I'm curious if that Source Engine mod they are making of the specialists will be very good.
