Whenever you have to buy something in a game, you use some sort of money, however, most games avoid tying their money to a real world currency and as such come up with a creative name for it. What is your favorite fictional money?

I enjoy my Septims. If I get enough, I can finally get that manor down by Skingrad's Eastern gate.....

And Caps. I felt PRETTY damn stupid when I found out they were the currency of the cola-endorsed apocalypse. Makes a bit of sense though...

Gil from the Final Fantasy series.
It just's seems to fit in with the game.

Rupees from the Zelda series

leave it to Nintendo to make the kind of money you could use to make jewlery with.

Credits from Mass Effect.

it certainly looks like the money of the future.

and Chocolate coins from Viva Pinata.

I love the candy it's based off of, and it puts a new meaning to putting your money where your mouth is.

Bells. I don't know why animals use them as money (or how they hold them all), but the concept is funny.

I like any game where "Credits" are shortened to "Creds". No "C's", just "Creds". I think it makes it seem more realistic.

Also, Caps are genius, especially seeing just how prevalent Nuka Cola is...

"Gold" in Resident Evil 5, because it kind of shows that they didn't want to base the game in a place where they could get in trouble, so instead of picking out any kind of currency, they just used "gold", probably the least creative thing I've ever heard.

DP for Dragon Power in Mother 3. It pretty much felt like, "Yeah, beat the crap out of those enemies and get some powah!"

I second that motion
And I third(ed?) that motion.
Motion Carried, and now to something completley differnet.

Munny of Kingdom hearts was faily good too, you didnt need to change the way you spoke it while being different...

Although that isnt something completley differnet.

I like the copper, silver, gold system from dragon age. Definitely feels similar to if not directly stolen from A song of fire. Either way it's practical and helps keep the amount you have manageble.

I like Florins from Assassin's Creed 2. You can throw it to attract a crowd...

But, if it wasn't for the practical uses in AC2, I'd go with Gil.

Jewels from Wario Land.
Rupees from Zelda.
Coins from Sly Cooper.
and the best one has to be Music Notes from Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, you're using fucking music to buy your parts.
