Some of them aren't awful. Admittely I'm struggling to think of them right now but I know not all of them are 'Doom' >.>
But seriously, Games should stay Games or should only become short little movies. Like Halo did with 'We are ODST' or 'Arms Race' which were fun and awesome since it was just action and great effects. If they make a Halo movie it'd be Hollywoodised, a cheesy love interest would be forced it. Master Chief would never wear a helmet and would be Brad Pitt, spouting out one liners as he mows down millions of badguys who're probably all voiced by the Japanese or something. It would become 'America versus the Covenant' with little action and no fun.
Thats why movie games suck. A game is all action with tiny bits of plot to make us care about the characters and want to know what happened next. Movies are all about plot with tiny bits of action. They are the complete opposition. Since most people would hate a Halo Movie being 2 hours of solid combat because it is 'mindless violence with no plot' then they'd overdo the plot and have too little combat. Thats what happened with Max Payne. A game where you couldn't go 3 seconds without diving through the air, machine gunning a million bad guys became a movie where nothing happens for over an hour.

Advent Children was the only good one, im scared there going to make a megaman game just based off of the boxart from the orginal ones...Snork Maiden said:
I don't know. I think people keep choosing the wrong games to be turned into movies. Sometimes they choose games that can't be condensed into two hours, other times they choose games that are too lacking in substance. Until I actually hear that a good one's been made, I'll keep my distance.
