I got 'Still Alive' on my iPod and when I finished Prey, I immediately bought the song over the end credits, 'Take Me Home' by the after midnight project. Oh and the Mortal Kombat theme song, mainly for lolz.

I do have some game music in my MP3 player (it's not an iPod, it's a Sansa e280 with Rockbox installed). Panzer Dragoon Saga's and Orta's OSTs are there, Halo OSTs, as are songs from The Oneups.

Some stuff from OC Remix has ended up there too, though for the most part, the stuff there sounds like it's just the original with added guitar wailing (the reason why I don't listen to most of The Black Mages or Machinae Supremacy). There are exceptions and remixes by Joshua Morse, for example, have always been quality stuff.

The guy who did the music for Contra IV (Virt [http://virt.vgmix.com]) has some excellent stuff on his site. Usually combines chiptunes with a variety of other things like orchestral and house/techno type beats. Even his plain jane chiptunes are nice.

And like Theo Samaritan, I have a folder full of chiptunes (in various formats: SID, NSF and SPC and a couple others). There's something really interesting about raw chiptunes and the limitations they're done with).

I have a couple of songs from DDR on mine. It's quite fun to blast them while I drive past pedestrians after it gets dark.
I also second this statement. I do however have full versions of the classics such as So Deep, Era, and Sync.

Also found TaQ's album. It is indeed awesome.

My iPod is about 90% video game music. It'd take far too long to list them all there, but here's some songs I just added.

Daybreak - Street Fighter Alpha 3 [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dktbEhTaJUE]
Dark Gaia Phase 2 - Sonic Unleashed [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34vSntj3jxo]
Struggle Away - Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlJCP4qp7O4]
Live and Learn (8-Bit Remix) - NintendoBrad [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8na3G8iTps]
Final Destination (Krump Remix) - kurisama13 [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxw3VlF26uQ]

Hitman series. Jesper kyd is awesome. Orange box OST. and the rest is just radiohead, UNKLE, broken social scene, metric, portishead, rjd2, the wombats, sondre lerche.

OH wait i have the world of warcraft OST too. ( And dont you dare deny the power of a well written composition Played out by a full orchestra. No. Just no. Dont even put on your WoW hating hat. World of warcraft has the most epic sound tracks EVER. No other game has such a high quality sound track. )

Katamari Damacy and the Orange Box of course are up there, but one of my favorite soundtracks is to a small independent game called Samorost. It's both ambient and brilliant at the same time, and I just looooooove listening to it.

Samorost 2 [http://amanita-design.net/samorost-2/]

The only way to get the soundtrack though is to pay an exorbitant sum for the game CD that comes with the soundtrack on it (it is sent from Prague!), but it's still amazing and, to me, worth it.

"Live and Learn [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTSr_2AyQ2Q]" and "What I'm Made Of [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuVAaU63K7k]" from the Sonic games, one song from OC Remix derived from the Diablo II soundtrack (that isn't there anymore, for some reason)...and I think one song from Halo that I don't really listen to much. Oh, and an OC Remix of the opening monologue from Diablo.

I'm waiting until I get back to college to import a couple of Sonic albums with songs I like on them. I have a soft spot for wicked guitar riffs.

Maybe I'm being pompous, but I get sort of weirded out by the people who have a music collection that's 95% video game music. Is that just me?

I have A History of Unreal Music on my computer, which includes tracks from Unreal, Unreal Tournament, Unreal 2, and Unreal 2004.

I keep several of the Unreal Tournament tracks on my ipod Skyward Fire is actually the most played song on my ipod. I listen to it while studying and just put it on a continuous loop. I think I've listened to it close to 500 times, if not more.

I have a remixed version of the theme from "The Moon" level from Duck Tales on the NES...and i'm not afraid to admit it...

NES Music can truly be some of the best game music out there...
