Well, I suppose some of the Final Fantasy games had good music...
FFVII had some rather catchy tunes... I need to get the Turks and Shinra themes... need them for my evil moments... Mwahahahaha!

The halo 3 and zelda soundtracks are pretty good. This from a man who rarely listens to anything that isn't system of a down. Look them up to, if you haven't already.

Very few things in media (games, movies, tv shows, watever) have memorable music these days, or usually have a popular song or a soon-to-be popular song.

Mario, everyone is on board. Love it, know it, remember it.
Call of Duty games have pretty cool music, not very memorable.

Though one game that had music I LOVED was Opposing Forces. It fit in really well, and I loved it over the techno Half-Life games usually have.

Oh I'm gonna have a field day with this.

Almost anything by Daisuke Ishiwatari is pure gold. He inserts a lot of heavy guitar into his songs and it just sounds incredible. Here's some examples from Blazblue and Guilty Gear.

The Persona series is known for great music as well. Think catchy J-Pop with English lyrics. That isn't to say that all the songs are J-Pop though.

Finally, let's not forget some of the great pieces of music from the Final Fantasy games.

I think that's enough links for now. If any of those interest anyone I can always post more examples later.

Silent Hills 2, 3 and 4 had some good tracks.
Every game in the WipEout series had some great music, but it's all music tracks from existing artists. Nothing was created specifically for the game.
Gears Of War had one awesome track on the credits feat. "The Cole Train".
Dead Rising had an awesome song: "Gone Guru" by the band "Lifeseeker" from their album: "Self Titled Debut Album".
Devil May Crys 1,3 and 4 had some awesome music, especially the title music for DMC2 "The Devil's Cry".
Orbital did a pretty decent "PacMan" remix, depending on your taste in music.
World Of Goo had some amazing tracks, although this has probably already been pointed out.

That's all I can think of right now.

Skyline from the ODST soundtack or perhaps the whole ODST soundtrack.
The whole WET soundtack.
The Bayonetta soundtrack.

I don't care much for game music, I simply mute the game and blast out something like Megadeth's Holywars which is fun when you are playing intense FPS games.

The boss music in Zelda: OoT is possibly the most epic shit ever. That, or the music in Banjo Kazooie/Tooie.
