And of course, it very glaringly lacks anything even resembling a rocket racecar demolition derby mode. Honestly, I think they must have disqualified Rocket League on those grounds, just so that we don't risk losing the sheer joy of rocket racecar demolition derby to award-hungry feature cloning in games where rocket racecars are not natural features.

It's the only logical explanation, really.

Site polls the world over have apparently performed a service to Rocket League by giving it the shaft. Thank you, Witcher 3.

I like the idea that Big Boss is trying to do a stealth attack, the Hunter trying to do a massive leap attack- all while Papayrus merely wants to congratulate Geralt with a friendly spook. Then you have the Rocket League car that's going to crush all of them under it's weight because vehicles are heavy.

Also that face. "Why do I have the feeling this is going to hurt?"

Nah, I like how he's the odd man out with no weapon, I'm sure he's actually just planning on giving Geralt a friendly pat on the back, or to push him out of the way of the other attacks.

2013 also had a three way between Grand Theft Auto 5, The Last of Us, and Bioshock Infinite.

And GTA 5 got snubbed on so many websites votiing for Last of Us.

That's what they need I think instead of random celebrities introducing the winners. Have the devs learn who won ahead of time so they can work together to make some animated fights between the nominated game's main characters, ending with the winner of the award being the victor.

Or, If they want to still keep it a surprise for the devs, I guess they could hire the Death Battle team to make it.

Anyway, hope 2016 give us as many good games as 2015! =w= b

This was one of those supremely good years for games that reminds people why it would be awesome if some major gaming outlet did a "Games of the Year, Plural" thing instead of trying to make a ranked list or just name one winner.

Case in point: EVERYONE has forgotten about Cities: Skylines. Especially me.

Honestly, I'm kinda shocked Bloodborne isn't the one winning GotY awards left and right. Must be because it's relatively old.

Bloodborne is my personal GOTY but a lot of people got put off it because it's an exclusive. Which is personally understandable. There's also the contingent of people who go "oh, it's just more Dark Souls?" and they've gotten a little bit tired of that.

That or Geralt used the Axii sign on all the award givers...

I think Undertale winning would have made for a better comic, since you'd have all these violent triple A game characters ganging up on a happy cartoon skeleton. Feels like there'd be a message there.

But yeah, now I'm picturing Geralt as a boss in Bloodborne and getting hyped.
